Who Am I ?
Welcome to BeStill4610!
I'm Maryellen, a dedicated Certified Lay Ecclesial Minister with over 25 years of experience in full-time parish ministry. The name BeStill4610 is inspired by one of my favorite scripture passages, "Be still and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10). This verse reflects my own faith journey, reminding me of the importance of quieting our hearts and minds to hear God's voice and embrace His presence in our lives.
I hold a Master's degree in Pastoral Studies, along with certifications as a Pastoral Associate and in Religious Education, and a Certificate in Catholic Culture, Identity, and Mission for Catholic Schools. My ministry has taken me across various national boards, offering me a wide-ranging perspective on the needs of the Church today. My passion is creating opportunities for spiritual engagement and growth. I have been blessed to facilitate retreats for youth, adults, women's ministries, faculty, parish staff, and men’s groups, as well as to lead evening and afternoon reflections. I would be honored to work with you in planning a retreat or gathering that meets the unique needs of your community.
Family Faith Formation holds a special place in my heart—it's a joy to design programs that bring families together to learn, share, and deepen their understanding of our Catholic faith. My goal is to foster an environment where faith is passed on through meaningful shared experiences.
